The Problem

15–30 plugins. Zero coordination.

Your store runs on a stack of third-party apps, themes, and platform updates that change underneath you without warning. Traditional testing only runs when you deploy. This breakage comes from the outside.

Platform-managed surfaces

Shopify's checkout, locale keys, currency formatters, and express checkout labels are all managed by the platform — not you. When Shopify updates, your translation overrides can silently reset.

Theme updates

A shared template renders a typo across 5 storefronts. RTL grids flow left-to-right. A custom icon font fails, rendering your currency as a broken glyph. None of it appears in a changelog.

Third-party apps

A review widget pulls US reviews onto your Canada store. A popup's close button stops working. A subscription app shows one price in cart and another at checkout. You didn't install an update. They did.

Traditional testing tools miss it too.

If a plugin breaks pricing but renders the wrong price in the correct font and grid alignment, visual regression tools pass it. If the breakage comes from outside the deploy pipeline, scripted functional tools never run against it. Krito catches both because it evaluates through an economic and behavioral lens — not a pixel or DOM lens.

How It Works

Agents that shop your store so your customers don't have to find the bugs.

Define what matters. Krito's AI agents test it continuously and tell you what broke, why, and what to fix first.

1

Create an agent per storefront

Point it at your URL, set the expected language and currency. One agent per locale or client — exactly how you think about your markets.

2

Write user stories in plain English

Describe the journeys that matter: "Test checkout in Spanish and confirm all prices show in MXN." No code. No scripts. No selectors.

3

Set a schedule and let it run

Every hour, day, or week — your agents browse your store, take screenshots, and document what they see at every step.

4

Get a prioritized report

Not pass/fail. A full analysis: what broke, which dependency caused it, screenshots, severity, and the recommended fix. Executive-ready.

What is your AI agent buying?

Published with Columbia University and Yale University. The ACE paper studies how AI agents make autonomous purchasing decisions on e-commerce platforms — revealing position bias, model-dependent preferences, and new market dynamics.

Krito is the applied extension of this research: monitoring what both human and AI customers experience on your live storefront.
